The name StoneFlur actually means beauty, strength and boldness. These are all qualities that I embrace in my contemporary expressionist paintings.

The paintings I include here are a counter point for my representational art. The paintings are bold, bright, inspired by my feelings about the subject and quickly painted. Often the pallet for each painting is limited to 3 primary colors or their variations.

One thing that I quickly found upon leaving art school is that there is as much conformity in the art community as there is in the rest of the world. The standard that is set is so limiting to most artists that they never find their voice.

A true artist never stops experimenting, they never stop pushing the limits, and they never stop working on their craft. And they never limit their style or use of materials to meet the norm.

I don't make art to be great or a master painter. I make art to tell a story and evoke an emotion that makes the viewer want to know more. When they want to know more then they want to own the painting. That is the purpose for this Virtual Showing. This is place to offer my expressions for viewing and some for purchase so those who embrace them can have a small piece of them too. In Turn they become not only patrons of my work, they become part of the story, too.
